US Power & Solar

About us

We help US homeowners understand their electricity costs and decide whether solar makes sense — with official data, not sales talk.

Our mission

Electricity prices keep changing and solar quotes can be hard to judge. We bring public data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) together in simple maps, comparisons and calculators, so you can make an informed choice.

Independent by design

We don't sell or install solar. Our rates, payback estimates and verdicts are calculated the same way for every state and are never influenced by installers.

How we make money

A basic listing in our directory is always free. Installers can choose a paid Verified or Featured Partner plan, billed once a year, and we may pass quote requests to up to 3 local installers when you ask us to. Paid listings are always clearly labeled and never change our data, rankings or verdicts. Installers may show an optional "As featured on US Power & Solar" badge; it is voluntary and never required for a listing.
